Long-term participations in financial institutions
responsAbility is one of the world’s leading providers of financial services (in the form of debt and equity financing) to non-listed financial intermediaries in emerging economies that serve micro, small and medium-sized enterprises and/or low-income clients.
In the area of private equity investments, we partner with solid financial intermediaries headed by strong management teams who share our values and can help drive the development of our target markets.
responsAbility aims to take up long-term participations in solid financial institutions that provide financial services to micro, small and medium-sized enterprises and/or low-income clients. We seek minority equity positions that represent a shareholding of up to 20-30% of the investee and can be acquired through primary or secondary transactions. As an active partner, we strive to support our investee companies through representation on their Board and by offering them individual strategic and/or operational advice.
responsAbility aims to invest capital in financial institutions that:
Are supervised by regulatory authorities and operate in a sufficiently regulated environment
Are already leaders, or have the potential to become leaders, in their respective markets
Are headed by strong management teams
Can generate long-term growth and profitability
Have reached a good level of maturity in terms of their operating systems and processes
Access to an outstanding team of industry experts and an extensive network
Unparalleled access to global best practices
