responsAbility funds invest in microfinance institutions and microfinance banks that are lending to micro- and small enterprises. We see access to financial services as key in providing development opportunities to these segments in developing economies.
Funds managed by responsAbility offer financing in the following forms:

| Loans and debt securities | |
| Senior, usually unsecured, and subordinated ranking | |

USD or EUR as well as a range of local currencies
|

| Minimum amount of USD 250,000; typical transactions are between USD 1 million and USD 15 million | |
| Repayment structures in line with clients’ needs; maturities range from 1–5 years for senior debt and up to 7 years for subordinated debt | | |

Investment Criteria
Eligibility for investment is guided by the following criteria:

Total assets of at least USD 1 million

Business track record of a minimum of three years
|

Profitable and sustainable operations
|
|

Transparency shown torward responsAbility in a due diligence process

Ability to provide monthly financial statements and yearly audited accounts

|
Equity investments are considered in selected cases. Investees need to have at least USD 20 million of total assets. The minimum investment volume is USD 1 million.
