Zurich/Bengaluru, 10 Dec 2025 – Leading Swiss impact asset manager responsAbility Investments AG has invested in Ace International Limited (“Ace”) through its Sustainable Food Asia II Strategy. The investment is made alongside FMO, Incofin, and Fiedlin Ventures, supporting the company’s next phase of sustainable growth. The Strategy aims to strengthen sustainable food systems and improving the livelihoods of smallholder farmers across Asia.

The partnership with responsAbility and other investors will support the development of an integrated dairy ingredients and nutrition complex in Kuppam, Andhra Pradesh. This facility aims to bring modern processing technology to India, with capabilities to produce nutrition ingredients aligned with global quality and sustainability standards.

Strategically located within a major agricultural region, the Kuppam complex is expected to strengthen Ace’s manufacturing footprint, expand product innovation, and enable diversification into new nutrition categories. The facility will be embedded in an inclusive sourcing ecosystem, engaging more than 40,000 local farmers, including a significant number of women, through inclusive sourcing partnerships that enhance rural livelihoods and advance gender equity across the supply chain.

Scaling sustainable production and innovation

Ace is a long-established, fully integrated food ingredients company supplying India’s food, beverage, nutraceutical, and health-nutrition sectors. Over three decades, the company has evolved from a family-run enterprise into one of India’s most trusted producers of high-quality, responsibly sourced, and science-driven nutrition ingredients. Its value chain spans responsible sourcing, advanced processing and formulation capabilities, and strong R&D — enabling high-quality, affordable, and sustainable nutrition solutions across diverse applications including infant and sports nutrition, medical foods, and specialty beverages.

Akshay Dua, Investment Director Sustainable Food Private Equity at responsAbility, said: “Ace has an impressive mix of decades-long pedigree in raising India’s nutrition industry to global standards, not just being cost-competitive, but also with an unwavering commitment to sustainability, carbon neutrality, and responsible sourcing. This approach reflects our philosophy as an impact investor, and we are excited to partner with the founders to further our common aim — keep driving sectoral transformation and deliver measurable social and environmental outcomes.”

Sanjeev Goyal, Founder and Chairman of Ace International Limited, said: “This partnership is more than just funding — it’s an accelerator of purpose. We’ve built Ace around one belief: that innovation in food technology can drive both better business outcomes and better nutrition for all. With this investment, we’re ready to take that vision global.”
