ZURICH - The Swiss impact asset manager responsAbility Investments AG is investing USD 24 million of growth capital in Agrovision Corp. ("Agrovision"). Agrovision, one of the world's leading producers and suppliers of superfruits, will use the funds to continue its global expansion and strengthen its commitment to sustainable food production and societal change.

Agrovision is one of the world's leading and fastest-growing producers and year-round suppliers of superfruits such as blueberries, raspberries and blackberries in Peru, Mexico and further selected global markets. Agrovision's vertically integrated model combines sustainable farming techniques and extensive commercial and distribution capabilities to bring high quality products to retailers around the world, contributing greatly to global food security. The company has a strong commitment to meeting several of the United Nations' sustainability goals.

Global Ambitions and Sustainable Mission of Agrovision

Steve Magami, Executive Chairman and co-founder of Agrovision, said: "In a constantly changing global market environment, collaboration with responsAbility strengthens our ability to produce high-quality superfruits while simultaneously expanding our role in sustainable agriculture."

responsAbility Reinforces Commitment to the Sustainably-Grown Fruit Industry

Through its Latin America-focused mezzanine capital strategy, responsAbility supports best-in-class growers dedicated to supplying the global markets with sustainably grown, fresh, and nutritious produce. Rik Vyverman, together with Hector Kuri and Alberto Alonzo, co-founders of this Latin American strategy, say: "Agrovision's approach to integrating technology and sustainability in agriculture aligns with responsAbility's focus on innovative and sustainable investments. This partnership supports our goal of promoting companies that are leaders in sustainable agriculture."

Latin America - the Globe’s Garden

Latin America is a region with a competitive advantage in natural resources. It boasts immense biodiversity and diverse climate zones, making it ideal for several production windows across both tropical and temperate fruit and vegetable varieties. Combined with an increasingly health-conscious consumer market, the export volume for fruit and vegetables has greatly increased in recent decades. It is expected to continue growing due to rising consumer demand in the future.

Through investments in sustainable agriculture, responsAbility's sustainable food strategy in Latin America supports environmentally friendly practices that have a long-term positive impact on local communities and ecosystems.
