USD 25 million for regenerative organic agriculture in Mexico

Zurich / Switzerland – The responsAbility Sustainable Food Latam Fund invests USD 25 million in Campos Borquez, a leading regenerative producer of organic vegetables and fruits in Mexico.

The fund supports Latin America-based integrated producers of agricultural products for global exports, predominantly fruits and vegetables. It provides long-term capital in the form of tailor-made structured credit solutions to finance the growth and expansion of export-oriented companies.

First regenerative, organic producer in Mexico

Campos Borquez is run by a four-generation farming family with a rich history of growth, resilience, community engagement, commitment with the environment and social responsibility. Over the years, the company expanded its operations from table grapes, asparagus and winter crops (broccoli, cauliflower and celery) to avocadoes and mangoes, and was Mexico’s first certified regenerative agriculture farm. Campos Borquez was elected Global Supplier of the Year in 2022 by Whole Foods Markets – the world’s leading natural and organic foods retailer – which is a testimony to the overall excellence of Campos Borquez.
